Where do I live ?

I can be found almost everywhere in the world : In the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, but also in the Mediterranean sea.

Which threats ?

Thanks to my size, I don’t have many predators except man. During the XXth century, in Europe and Canada, I suffered from whale huntings. These days, I am victim of ships collisions with me.

Kiwiwho’s word to save the fin whale

Since 1976, hunting me is absolutely forbidden, but some countries just don’t care. If my hunting isn’t a full part comercial activity anymore, it remains traditional for some populations who don’t aknowledge me as an endangered specie.
